After retiring from teaching Design, some 10 years ago, I have been a practising artist and curator. My work is largely informed by my travels in India, an interest in archaeology, myth, story telling and the natural environment. It was during my time as Artist in Residence at the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge that I began to describe myself as a Visual Storyteller, working in a wide range of media including photography, painting and multimedia assemblage.
I endeavour to stay in touch with art education, government directives and the funding of art. Regularly visiting galleries in London and Kent not only keeps me aware of current art but lets me observe how people react to galleries and art.
