Iain Rayner is an artist who has worked in education since graduating from art school in 2002. Alongside working as a professional artist, Iain has tutored students from Year 7 to University level and most stages in between, spending a long period working in Adult Education. Currently Iain is employed by Ashford School where he tutors 6th form students in Art theory, is a technician in the Art Department helping students realise their projects and a Resident House Tutor in the boarding community. As an artist Iain has worked on diverse projects exhibiting locally and internationally. Iain’s studio practice currently explores, among other themes, the problematic nature of Free Will in the creative act and the schism between subject and object in Western Art.
