Mac Nixon is a BBC credited, award winning Cardiff-based film maker whose work has screened all over the world including Cannes, The Royal Television Society and the US.
Mac and Will Guppy have worked together on a number of projects from period dramas to dark absurdist comedies. They are currently in the process of developing a couple of ideas for television; including adapting airA&E into a satirist comedy series.
They are presenting ‘airA&E‘ at the Short Film Festival.
The short comedy, ‘airA&E’, was shot in September 2017 with a view to satirise the direction of a post-Brexit Britain in which the NHS had been privatised. The creators, Mac Nixon and Will Guppy, were delighted and horrified when, just one month after shooting, the NHS announced it would be trialling its own airBnB-style company for outsourcing bed space to the public. Reality had copied Art.
