Charlie Langhorne is the Director of Wild in Art.
Charlie Langhorne set up Wild in Art in 2008 with his co-Director Sally-Ann Wilkinson. Charlie is passionate about how public art trails can
bring together the commercial demands of ‘business’, the collective demands of town and city authorities and the creativity of artists into one shared experience for communities. Charlie has worked on art trails in many diverse cities around the world including London, Cape Town, Nairobi, Sydney, Christchurch and Moscow, to name but a few. While each city is unique and presents different challenges, Charlie has identified the common factors that lead to success.
What he will be talking about
“Art for Change or Change from Art”
Charlie will explore how the development of public art trails can impact on the wider community outside of those who traditionally engage with the arts.
